Policy decisions can't wait for last year's model.
The most sophisticated computable general equilibrium platform in the Southern Hemisphere. Built to give ministers, policy teams, and enterprise leaders the answers they need — at the speed their decisions demand.
Get past the question of how much. Move on to the path to recovery.
The traditional economic modelling process takes weeks. Commission a study, wait for the modeller to set up the scenario, wait for the solver to run, wait for the report. By the time the answer arrives, the decision has already been made on instinct — or not made at all, because the window closed.
VECTR changes the equation. The entire solution space for New Zealand — every combination of shocks, policies, and regional conditions that the model supports — has been precomputed and indexed. When your policy team asks a question, VECTR doesn't solve the model from scratch. It looks up the answer in a manifold of 307 million precomputed scenarios and returns the result in under 50 milliseconds.
Give this to your entire policy team.
One of the bottlenecks in government economic analysis is throughput. You have a team of capable policy analysts, but only a handful of economists who can run CGE scenarios. The analysts wait for the economists. The economists are swamped. Everyone is frustrated, and the decisions that depend on this work are delayed or made without adequate evidence.
VECTR is designed to change that ratio. The Console interface is usable by analysts who are not economists — they can build scenarios, adjust parameters, and read the results with the help of the built-in VECTR AI Assistant. The economist's role shifts from producing the analysis to reviewing it, which is a fundamentally more efficient use of their time. One trained economist reviewing the output of ten analysts running scenarios all day is a different operating model from one economist running scenarios one at a time while the analysts wait.
The platform handles the throughput. It does not degrade under concurrent use. There is no queue, no batch processing, no waiting for compute time. Your team runs as many scenarios as they need, and the system returns answers as fast as they can type the questions.
Replicates 7+ modelling approaches
VECTR replicates the methodologies of at least seven different CGE and economic model approaches under one interface. Instead of commissioning different models from different providers to get different perspectives, you run them all in VECTR — same data, same platform, different methodological lenses. Comparison becomes trivial instead of expensive.
When someone rejects your findings, hand them the controls.
Every piece of economic modelling lives or dies on its assumptions. The standard criticism of any CGE result is "I disagree with the assumptions" — and in most cases, that is where the conversation ends, because rerunning the model with different assumptions takes weeks and costs money. The critic never has to defend their alternative; they just have to reject yours.
VECTR ends that impasse. Because the entire sensitivity grid is precomputed — every plausible combination of elasticities, closures, and shock magnitudes — you can rerun the scenario with the critic's preferred assumptions in seconds. Not an approximation. Not a "what if we changed this one parameter." The full model, with their exact assumptions, producing a complete set of results.
If the result still holds under their assumptions, the disagreement is resolved. If it doesn't, you have a precise, quantified understanding of which assumptions actually matter — which is valuable information in itself and a far more productive conversation than "I disagree."
Every coefficient calculated natively
VECTR does not borrow elasticities, trade parameters, or substitution coefficients from previous research. Every coefficient in the model is calculated from the underlying data — specifically for New Zealand, specifically for each region, specifically for each sector. This means the model's assumptions are transparent and auditable, not inherited from a paper published for a different country in a different decade.
Output that arrives pre-certified.
Government agencies spend significant time on review cycles — checking that outputs meet data ethics standards, that confidentiality thresholds are respected, that the results don't inadvertently misrepresent the impact on specific populations. This is necessary work, but it is slow and often duplicated across teams.
VECTR's Social Auditing Layer embeds these checks at the code level. Every output passes through the APS Data Ethics Framework — the Australian Public Service standard published by the Department of Finance — before it reaches the analyst. Confidentiality suppression, distributional fairness checks, sample adequacy warnings, and misrepresentation guards are all applied programmatically. The review meeting still happens, but the reviewer can trust that the baseline compliance work has already been done.
Local Government Ready
District and regional councils face the same modelling questions as central government but with tighter budgets and less in-house expertise. VECTR's 104-region breakdown means every council — from Auckland to Southland — gets analysis at their geographic resolution, not a national average scaled down.
Competitive Edge
There is currently no other model in New Zealand that covers all nine analytical dimensions — GDP, jobs, prices, welfare, sector, trade, government, region, and Māori economy — simultaneously. That is not marketing; it is a factual comparison against every model currently used by NZ government agencies, verified dimension by dimension.
Enterprise Licensing
VECTR is a premium product, licensed through authorised channels to organisations that need serious analytical capability. Pricing reflects the sophistication of the platform and the value of the decisions it supports. Contact Danalytics for enterprise licensing, hosted deployment, or managed research engagement.
