Economic research, modelling, and the software that delivers it.
We answer what a policy or an investment does to the economy — for government, councils, iwi and business. Commission our team to run the analysis, or licence the software we run it with.
The full stack, from the maths to the desk.
CGE modelling
Computable general equilibrium analysis — the economy as a connected system, so you see the flow-on, not just the first effect.
Policy impact analysis
What a policy actually does, before it's committed — to jobs, prices, regions, and the public accounts.
Iwi economic analysis
Māori Economic Attribution — assets, employment and regional activity carried as their own accounting circuit, not a slice of a national total.
Regional impact assessment
Effects down to the district — who gains, who carries the cost, and how it travels between regions.
Social investment auditing
What the money actually bought — spending traced through to the outcomes it was meant to move.
Sensitivity & assumption testing
Stress-testing a result against the assumptions a critic will raise — before they raise them.
AI expert service
Applied AI done properly: where it helps, where it doesn't, and how to tell the difference for your problem.
Software development
The tools that turn analysis into something a team can actually use — VECTR is the flagship example.
IDI SimLab
Simulation and analysis aligned to the Integrated Data Infrastructure, for research that needs that rigour.
VECTR. — Aotearoa New Zealand's Economics Platform.
The modelling we'd build for a client from scratch, made into a program a team can run itself. Ask what a decision does to the economy and get the answer in seconds — over 250 million precomputed scenarios across 87 modelled areas, 109 sectors and 22 measures. It is code, not AI: the same question returns the same numbers, on your machine or ours. v1.03.
Every run mints a unique run ID, printed on the report as a 2D barcode — so the number can be found again when someone asks about it weeks later. A coming feature, Prove It, returns the full derivation of any number, back to public data.
A decade in government's technical teams.
Danalytics Consulting Ltd is based in Aotearoa New Zealand — central government's technical teams, regional council advisory, iwi economic development, academic partnerships. The people who built VECTR are the people who run it when you commission the work.
We'd like to hear from you.
